Socio-Educational Services - Youth Hubs

Objective
Accompany adolescents from rural areas of Tucumán in sustaining and strengthening their educational trajectories through a community socio-educational device that combines school support, emotional containment and artistic, sports and recreational proposals, preventing disconnection from the education system and early entry into work.
Problem Statement
Adolescents in rural Tucumán face high rates of market-linked adolescent labor: according to DYA surveys, 68% of students aged 11 to 15 and 80% of those aged 16 to 17 engage in work activities, often alongside school. Together with scarce guidance and containment spaces, this increases dropout risk and limits development of their own life projects.
Components and Activities
- Daily school support and reinforcement.
- Life Project and socio-emotional skills workshops.
- Music, sports and computer workshops.
- Vocational guidance and accompaniment in building personal and community projects.
- Cycle closings and community days that bring together families, teachers and neighbors.
Target Group
Adolescents aged 9 to 17 from rural communities of Tucumán, with special attention to those in social vulnerability and at risk of child or adolescent labor.
